Jungkook and Usher Release ‘Standing Next to You’ Remix Performance
Pop star Jungkook, a member of the global super group ‘BTS’, and American ‘King of R&B’ Usher showed fantastic chemistry.
Jungkook is 15 years old. At 2 PM (hereinafter Korean time), the performance video of ‘Standing Next to You – Usher Remix’ was released on BTS’ official YouTube channel.
Usher, who participated in the remix of the title song of Jungkook’s first solo album ‘GOLDEN’, also made a special appearance in the video and performed a performance with Jungkook.
With an abandoned factory in the background, Jungkook performed a solo performance using a standing microphone, and dynamic camera movements were added.
Jungkook’s agency, Big Hit Music, said, “Then, the appearance of Usher, who sang his own part, turned the mood around and raised the energy of the song. “Usher, who performed choreography with a sense of rhythm, showed off his unique aura as if he was filling the space all by himself,” he said.
In particular, pop star Jungkook, who has come to represent the 2020s, and Usher, who has dominated the pop world since the 1990s, showed timeless dance chemistry.
Usher, who debuted in 1994 and will celebrate his 30th anniversary next year, is a pop star with both musicality and popularity. In particular, next year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Usher’s 4th studio album, ‘Confessions’, his masterpiece released in 2004. He will be the headliner at the 58th Super Bowl Halftime Show to be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, USA in February next year.
After Jungkook released his solo album, he received rave reviews from overseas media. Among them, the American daily USA TODAY also highlighted Jungkook’s activities by mentioning Usher.
‘Standing Next to You – Usher Remix’, released on the 1st, has the energy of the original song. While the zeitgeist atmosphere is still alive, a soft sensibility is added through Usher’s featuring.
